Our journey began with a simple yet profound moment: watching my daughter, Arielle, step onto the rugby pitch. At just 16 years old, her passion for the game ignited something deep within me. Rugby wasn’t just a sport for her; it was a source of resilience, discipline, and belonging. As I watched her embrace the game’s challenges and values, I realized rugby was more than a pastime—it was a blueprint for living with purpose.
Then there’s Gavin, my 12-year-old son, whose experience with rugby speaks to its broader magic. For Gavin, rugby is about community, travel, and adventure. Whether it's forging friendships with teammates from diverse backgrounds, exploring new places through tournaments, or stepping onto the pitch with a spirit of excitement, rugby has become his passport to connection and discovery. Gavin’s love for the game reminded me that rugby isn’t just about the competition—it’s about the journey it creates and the communities it builds.
Through Arielle and Gavin, I saw the essence of rugby in action: a sport that doesn’t just develop players but shapes people. Their stories inspired a larger vision of what rugby could do - If the game could shape them into a strong, values-driven individual, what could it do for communities, businesses, and even the world?
